Dear colleagues, dear guests,
The continuously growing field of novel Inborn Errors of Immunity (IEI) has brought us tremendous insight about the function of the human immune system. We have learned about the complexity of the monogenic diseases and the necessity of a strong multi-disciplinary network of scientists and physicians for the optimal care for our patients. We are still facing challenges of diagnostic and treatment for our patients, especially for children and young adults.
This year’s API annual Meeting will give us the opportunity to explore the sub-theme of Cancer in the setting of an IEI. New scientific data on the disease development, prevention strategies and therapeutic options will be shared. We will also continue to learn about the Newborn Screening for T-cell deficiencies in its 5th year since implementation in Germany. As always, we also look forward to the discussion of exciting scientific contributions and interesting case reports from the API community. We are very delighted to welcome you in Frankfurt/Oberursel in the historic Building of Dorint Hotel, where we will have an inspiring and interactive 40th API annual Meeting.
